Children's Consortium at First Book

On Wednesday, November 19, the Children's Consortium staff and respective board members donated their time and efforts to help sort and organize over 40,000 books for the First Book program!

First Book Syracuse is a nonprofit organization with a single mission: To give children from low income families the opportunity to read and own their first books. The primary goal of First Book is to work with existing literacy and mentoring programs to distribute new books to children who, for economic reasons, have little to no access to books.
